Position Description

Minerva Engineering is currently accepting resumes from qualified Staff, Mid-Level, and Senior Software Developers for utilization in the development of large scale systems for both commercial and military customers. Previous communication network systems and/or space systems (commercial and/or military) experience is a definite plus.

These positions require industry experience with C++, C, Java (80x86 assembly language, FORTH, SQL a bonus). In addition, the successful Mid-Level and Senior candidates will have at least 6 years experience with object-oriented design and implementation paradigms to include CORBA and ISIS. 8 years of experience with debugging tools both native platform and pure test tools to include Sun VisualWorkshop 1.0, Sun dbxtool, Purify, Quantify, and PureCoverage. UNIX tool sets considered very useful include (but are not limited to) Bourne, Korn (ksh), and C shells, awk, nawk, perl, make, nmake, gnumake, Imake, sed, vi, ex, emacs, m4, yacc, and lex . Due to the type of development environment and the need for strict configuration control, the successful candidate will also have experience with configuration management tools such as (but not limited to) ClearCase, IBM CMVC, Sun TeamWork and Visual Workshop, SCCS, or RCS. A working knowledge of one or more object oriented modeling tools (such as Rational Rose) is desired, but not mandatory. The successful candidate will have a history of working in close-knit teams as well as on self-directed tasking.
