Minerva Engineering Announces the Opening of It's
Rapid Prototyping and Integration Facility in Huntsville, AL
Huntsville, AL - July 01, 2005
Minerva Engineering announced today the opening of its Rapid Prototyping and Integration
Facility in Huntsville, AL. The 5800 square foot facility, located within minutes
of Redstone Arsenal, contains a meeting space, offices, break room, workshop, materials
storage area, integration area and high bay.
Tony Burgett, the manager of the Ground Systems Group described the new facility
as "a state of the art integration and test facility for use in the development
of complex distributed systems". Currently, the RPIF is being used in support of
the AFRL's JCAS program and the US Army's TTCS program. "We're very happy to be
hosting the Army and AFRL programs here at the RPIF" commented Mr. Burgett.
Robert La Bella, Minerva Engineering's president and the Director of Business Development
noted that the "...opening of the RPIF in Huntsville represents a large step forward
for Minerva Engineering. Without this office, it would be extremely difficult to
provide the kind of high quality support to government organizations in the area
that we feel is essential to Minerva's growth." Mr. La Bella also indicated that
"this facility brings with it the capability to provide hardware integration and
rapid prototyping capabilities to our other customers across the nation."
With ample room to integrate systems into US Army vehicles, Minerva Engineering's
RPIF provides an excellent location for the development and integration of systems.
The RPIF also features the latest in CAD tools and facilities for integration and
test of board level components through system level elements.
Minerva Engineering provides systems engineering, software engineering and electro-mechanical
integration and prototyping services for government space systems and C4ISR tactical
